Whisper
This series aims to visualize the presence and unspoken language of animals, often overlooked, yet deeply embedded in the fabric of urban life. The inspiration comes from the forgotten corners of the city: rats in subway stations, pigeons on the streets, birdsong from the trees. By capturing these fleeting moments, I hope to give voice to these “silent” lives, revealing the hidden emotions and connections between humans, the city, and nature.
Inspired by a moment in a New York subway station—rats darting in the dark as people waited across the platform. Through visual language, I sought to give form to these fleeting moments tucked away in the city’s corners. Inspired by a snowy day in New York. Horse-drawn carriages passed quietly along Central Park—do they know each other? Do they greet like people do? I visualized that silent moment beneath a web of pale winter branches.
The contrast between New York’s street pigeons and the pigeon sculptures in The NY High Line sparked my interest. I wanted to capture the charm of that moment through visual language.
Inspired by fleeting moments in life, this piece transforms birds into a visual language. Their calls, like whispered secrets, caught my attention, and I sought to capture that ephemeral melody through color and form. This work invites the viewer to not only “hear” but also feel the emotions within the scene.
