The Social Beasts
A Japanese TV series “We Can Not Become Beasts” caused a great sensation in 2018 and led to the coinage of the “social beasts” as the phrase of the year 2019 in China, which reflects the real life of white-collar workers and other staff and workers. But behind the jocular phrase we could find a new perspective of the objective existence of unperceived sadness of those working people, which inspired me to depict their helplessness under the social competition and life pressure.
